It’s been an exciting past few years getting Give to Grow off the ground, and it’s been a real blessing to see the lives that have already improved through our pilot program. The demand for loans to entrepreneurs in the Philippines has far outpaced our ability to keep up. Fortunately, Give to Grow’s model gives us the ability to reuse the same donations over and over again as loans are repaid, which helps us grow at an ever-increasing rate! That said, it’s time to raise more funds to allow for an even larger expansion in Philippines, as well as the start of a program in the newly formed Republic of South Sudan.

I also have some other exciting news: We’ve been blessed with a private donor who will be matching dollar-for-dollar all funds donated between when you’re reading this, through the end of 2011, up to $10,000. This is an excellent opportunity to help make your donations go further. That means that every $1 you donate to Give to Grow results in us receiving $2 to put towards expanding our programs and helping more struggling entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

As a reminder, we are a 501(c)(3), and 100% of your donation is tax deductible. We have no paid staff in the United States, and our board covers any administrative costs. This means that every penny of the donations we receive for these loans go directly to our developing businessmen and businesswomen abroad.

Give to Grow's mission is:

To mobilize the Church to address global poverty by providing financial services to the poor.

Give to Grow is a faith-based, organization that provides financial services to individuals in developing nations who would not otherwise have access to credit or savings. Our organization seeks to improve these people’s lives by enabling them expand their businesses or save for the future.

We are currently developing a church-based microloan program in the Philippines, which allows churches to provide both spiritual and physical assistance to small business owners in their communities. Our goal is to expand our program by partnering with additional churches both in the Philippines and around the world.

Partnering with our donors, we hope to be the first step to ending the cycle of poverty in the communities where we work.
